NewsPretium Packaging Obtains ISO CertificationPretium Packaging, a St. Louis-based manufacturer of custom plastic packaging solutions for consumer and institutional products, has obtained prestigious ISO certification for its Hermann, MO facility and the Corporate Office. “Registration to the latest version of the international standard was achieved because of a tremendous team effort put forth by our employees,” said Kathy Speier, Pretium’s Corporate Director of Quality, “We view this as an ongoing improvement process that will continue to increase customer satisfaction.” The ISO registration process allows Pretium to streamline processes and standardize documentation between each of Pretium’s nine manufacturing facilities. Once all the elements of the standard are documented, the process is simply “auditing our way to compliance” until all facilities are registered. “Strategically, Pretium sees the discipline and culture demanded of ISO certification, together with the total focus on customer requirements, as a major initiative in building world class manufacturing,” said David Winslett, Chief Operating Officer. Pretium is also working toward a stringent environmental standard, ISO 14001 certification.
