George Abd Joins Pretium Packaging as President and Chief Executive Officer

January 4, 2008 - Pretium Packaging is pleased to announce that George Abd has joined the company's St. Louis office as President and Chief Executive Officer. George has an extensive diversified history having previously served as CEO of Spartech Corporation, a $1.5 billion company in the plastic products industry.

Keith Harbison the former CEO, will continue to have an active presence at Pretium as the Chairman of the Board, where his efforts will become more focused on the strategic direction of the business, customer relations and addressing the proper capital structure to facilitate growth.

Dave Winslett, formerly President, has been promoted to Vice Chairman.

Pretium Packaging is a St. Louis, Missouri headquartered supplier of PET & HDPE blow molded containers to the food, beverage, chemical, personal care and pharmaceutical markets. Operating 10 manufacturing facilities across the US and in Eastern Canada, Pretium supplies containers ranging in size from .85 oz / 25mL to 2.5 gallon / 9.5L.
